Welcome to another wonderful school year here at HOPE. My name is Bonnie Larsen and I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade. I have had the pleasure of being part of the HOPE community since almost the beginning. When given the opportunity of being part of a new school and making significant contributions to help develop a strong educational environment to such a unique school, was a challenge I had to accept. Being able to work with such a dedicated and creative staff, also adds to the strong teaching environment available at HOPE.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education. I have been involved in a variety of different teaching experiences for over twenty years. The drive to provide a variety of different teaching modalities to help children achieve to their best potential is what drives my teaching.

Second grade will be a year that will allow your child to strive to do their best. Many different topics will be covered that will challenge and excite students to achieve, participate, and create! Core reading and math skills will be learned and strengthened throughout the year. My overall goal is to create an environment that will allow your child to grow academically, responsibly, and socially.

When I am not teaching I love to find a quiet place to read. I also enjoy walking and playing with my dogs in the park.
