I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago. I moved to the city after high school and then decided to move to San Diego to complete my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. After living there for 7 years, I decided it was time to move back to Chicago. When I was working in the early childhood field, I felt it was my mission to learn how to better serve the special needs population. So, I went on to complete my Master’s in Special Education. I have taught students on the autism spectrum for the past 3 years and am excited to be working in educational atmosphere that is so receptive to the needs of all children.
I believe all students are all capable of learning to the best of their abilities. Every student comes to school with unique talents and abilities. In our classroom, this year, every child will expand on those talents and abilities and focus on becoming the best they can be! This year’s focal point will be on obtaining personal goals and expanding on social skills needed to be successful, not only in the classroom, but in everyday life.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to take advantage of all the wonderful activities and events that happen in the magnificent city we live in, Chicago!
