Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
Student Arrival and Departure
Parents/guardians should drop students off on Washington. This area is designated as the Student Drop-off and Pick-Up Area. Do NOT park your car on the block of Washington occupied by the school. Parents having business in the school may park in any legal parking zone. All students will enter the building through the main entrance on Washington. If students arrive before 7:55am, they should go directly to the lunch room, where they will be supervised by HILA staff members until dismissal to their classrooms.
Parents should pick up their students along Washington. Please do not park your cars, but remain in them so that your children may enter the car as quickly as possible. Students will not be allowed to cross Washington to enter a car. Students will be escorted from the building and supervised by HILA staff. Please be on time to pick up your child. If your child is not enrolled in the After-School Program, there are no adults available to supervise him/her. If you are late on a regular basis, we will ask you to enroll your child in the After-School Program.
